    Hi,

I’m interested in the “…Wings on Backstory…” class. However, there’s not enough information about it. Will it be twice per week? Daily? Will there be a chance to post the areas in my ms that are concerning me. Creating ones for practice is not at as enticing as working on the one I’ve got.
    Thanks,
    Robin

  2. Teresa Bodwell Says:

    Hi, Robin. Thanks for asking.

Our online workshops don’t have a meeting time, per se. I generally post lectures each morning, Monday through Friday. The lectures are intended to open up the discussion and everyone is invited to chime in with her thoughts or questions.

There will be 4 assignments over the course of the two weeks. The assignments generally invite you to post parts of your WIP. Unlike most of our workshops, Backstory is looking at some very specific techniques for portraying backstory. You may have to edit or add scenes that use the suggested techniques for the exercise. In other words, if you don’t have a flashback scene you’ll have to create one for the flashback exercise.

Please, let me know if I can answer any additional questions.

  3. Teresa Bodwell Says:

I should add that I check in several times each day to check on the discussion. Some discussions are very lively. Other days the class is mostly quiet as everyone is busy working on assignments.

  4. Jennifer Says:

    Hi!
I was just wondering if you will be offering any workshops this month or next? Will you be offering the Backstory workshop in the near future?

    Thanks!

    Jenn

  5. Teresa Bodwell Says:

    Hi Jennifer–

    Thanks for you interest!

I’ve been doing workshops for the FF&P chapter of RWA all fall and haven’t had time to schedule an Athena workshop. We will be working on our Spring schedule soon. Check back in a week or two and we’ll have it up. I’m sure we’ll be offering the backstory workshop.

    Teresa
